After an era of declining production, the U.S. is now swimming in natural gas. Massive natural gas discoveries in several southern states are enough to satisfy supplies for nearly 100 years.

How do these discoveries have anything to do with renewable energy, carbon dioxide emissions and the green energy movement?

New technology developed by PowerVerde, Inc will use the natural gas pipeline system to generate megawatts of clean, carbon free, renewable energy. The technology utilizes the excess pressure in natural gas pipelines to run the patented PowerVerde systems to generate the electricity. The natural gas is not burned in this system and no pollution is ever released.

PowerVerde plans to install several of the systems along the extensive pipeline system in the 4th quarter of 2009. The megawatts of electricity are added to the national grid and could also be used locally to charge electric cars or produce hydrogen for fuel cells.
